So Thursday was jam packed with case competition! The fifth and final case started at 07h15. It went really well and we ended up with another comprehensive victory! This was what we needed to make us division leaders and secure our place in the semi finals. There were 9 teams that went through. In our pool were Queensland university and Calgary University... Calgary was our strongest competition and we knew that it was going to be tough to beat them.
Our presentation started at 20h00 and the room was packed with people that had become fans! There was cheering when we went in and after what we thought was a great performance the crowd erupted in applause! We were delighted with our performance and had given it our absolute best!
The results to the semi finals were set to be announced at the evening's social event which was a super hero dress up party! V played out of her boots and managed to rent us teenage mutant ninja turtle consumes... Jo our coach dressed as splinter and V dressed as Robin. It was great fun until we shocked by the case results. Queensland, by far the weakest team in our pool was selected to go through to the final. Everyone including coaches and participants came to us shaking their heads! They all felt that we were clear winners but for some reason the judges had called it differently!
We were incredibly disappointed but decided to try take it in our stride and remain good sports!
The day was such a mix of emotions and one that I won't forget in a long time!
