After more than 10km of walking yesterday... The three of us ( B,V and Jelly Bean) were a little worse for wear... With sore feet and bums we decided today was a bus and train day! We bought ourselves travel passes and after a Krispy Kreme breakie met up with Ed and Caitlin for a trip to Borough Market.
En route we saw London Bridge, Tower Bridge and a bit more of the Thames. The market turned out to be incredible! Freshly made deliciousness of all kinds... Sweet and savory! An hour later and with bellies bursting with goodness we set off to meet Alex at the ice rink next to The Natural History Museum... A quick tube ride later and we were there!
Alex, Ed and Caitlin were champing at the bit to show us some moves on the ice... The three of them initially looked like nervous newborn deer but within minutes their true colours came out and they were cruising around like nimble ice ninjas!
After a quick visit to the science museum we decided a pint in the nearest pub was a far grander idea! It was great to catch up with Alex as he starts his exchange in London.
After saying cheers to Alex we headed back to base camp for our last dinner with Ed and Caitlin.
Although a lot less busy than yesterday, today was a fantastic one and we closed our eyes with smiles on our faces cause this evening V felt the Jelly Bean move!!!!!!
Tomorrow will be a long one with a train trip to Heathrow and a short 9hour hop over the Atlantic to Montreal!
Hope you all are well and enjoying the New Year!
