After a hearty breakie we tubed to Heathrow terminal 3... It was quick and painless. We arrived about 2 hours before the departure of our flight and after checking our bags had a bite to eat.
The flight was on time and very pleasant! We did however struggle to understand the French speaking air hostesses!
Landing in Montreal was a treat... It's white as far as you can see and they have some interesting airport machinery to cope with all the snow!
After climbing off the plane we unfortunately joined about 1000 other visitors trying to get through customs... As a result it took us two hours to get through and then another hour long queue to get a cab.
Nonetheless we arrived at our backpackers in central Montreal to the friendly familiar face of Mark Kritzinger! It's such a nice place with loads of friendly people! Our dorm where we are spending 2nights is super comfy! A bit later Nic Simi and Marc Low joined us and we had a solid catch up over a beer in the downstairs pub!
The plan is to prep for the competition on Sat and Sun and then move into the Fairmont Hotel which will be home till next Saturday.
